There's a saying, if you can steal you can kill. I believe that. She was irresponsible yes, but I doubt she saw that coming. It's easier to blame her because that distances yourself from the situation and the possibility of it happening to you. But I think a lot of people end up in this situation not because they're bad people but because they are naive and ignore red flags. If not this it's abuse. If not this it's getting f*cked over in some other way.
And why do people always rush to Eugenics in these situations as if that has ever worked out for Black people? I hope its just the frustration talking. Who would really get to decide who's a hoodrat and what makes you think YOU wouldn't qualify in their eyes? Even if that were a thing, it still wouldn't change the fact that she has low self esteem and makes poor decisions. She needs some kind of guidance for her sake and her kids' as well. It's obvious she didn't get it growing up.
