What do you ladies use to protect your hair prior to pressing? I'm looking for something that doesn't wet the hair when applied because I'm not looking for my hair to sizzle when I put the hot comb through.
Don't want something that I need to apply on wet hair because I don't plan on blowdrying.

Anybody??? PLEASE?? I really need an answer to this.
I gathered a few names from the net but I don't know which ones will spray on DRY. I'm planning to wash my hair the day before I press it, so my hair can't be wet.

-Fantasia hair polisher heat protector straightening serum
-Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide
-CHI silk infusion
-Silk Elements Heat Protection spray
-Ion heat protection
-L'anza straight Line thermal defense heat styler

Any of those stay dry when applied and if not, do you have any other suggestions? I'd really appreciate as many names as possible, because I don't know which ones I'll be able to find where I live...

I use Chi Silk Infusion, or Beyond the Zone Turn up the Heat.  I've used Fantasia, but it left my hair greasy.  These are all dry when applied.

I forgot to add got2b Crazy Sleek is also good.

whew!  I'm glad I came back in here.  The photo in my avi is Amel Larrieux, not me.  I wish my hair behaved like that...

My hair is a healthy BSL tho.  I've always been a big fan of coconut oil and carrot oil.  I wash weekly and flat iron 2x a month.  I just pretty much keep it simple.
