I currently use "Fantasia ic Heat Protector and Straightening Serum", I bought it from a local beauty supply store for about $7 and it gives your hair shine and it protects from humidity pretty good, but I don't really like the smell.  I want something that moistureizes more and smells pretty good.  Any suggestions?

Serums don't moisturize, they only help to maintain the moisture that is already present in the hair.  Other serums that work well are John Freda ($?) and Nexxus Retexxur Serum ($8).  If you are looking for more moisture, you may want to consider lightly misting on a leave-in conditioner before using the serum.  There are a number of good ones out there, most of them don't have any fragrance to them.

I really Like the IC fantasia.  Mine is in a pink bottle and smells like roses.  It doesn't moisturize but it adds shine.  For Moisture I use Mizani bedtime formula (iforget the name but they sell it in the salons at JCPenney and it's in a white jar).  It's $15 a jar but a little goes a long way.  Trust I have back to Africa new growth and dryness

I bought the Beyond the Zone Heat Protectant at the recommendation of many on this board a little over a week ago and just used it recently.  I have to say that it definitely gave my hair a smoother effect while I was flat ironing it.  I liked the shine too.  I think that it was almost a bit heavy(borderline greasy)for my hair.  Is that crazy or is it possible that maybe I just sprayed too much.  A little definitely went a long way.  I sprayed a couple of mists for each section.

If you want moisture & protection use ors olive oil moisturizing hair lotion. It will protect your hair from heat AND moisturize. Try it!

I really like the Mizani ThermaStrength stengthening style serum.

It smells nice, makes your hair soft, and is a heat proctectant.

It's more of a creamy/lotion texture than the other clear serums.
