the title sounds kinda stupid but here's the context. it just seems like in the past few years being a stripper went from a taboo type life to just regular shyt. Half the songs on the radio are about strippers or the strip club, most rap videos these days involve strip clubs, strippers are becoming singers and rappers, almost all black reality shows have somebody up in a strip club at some point, and women seem more comfortable going.

My homegirl is having her birthday party there this weekend and she told me that she knows ALL of the strippers in the club, even though she has never stripped or worked in a club. Mad couples I know go to the strip club together. It seems so normal.

Now I live a super ratchet life so maybe its just my bubble but I don't think it is. Is it?

I think people are just incorporating sex and that whole industry into their daily lives more. The whole desensitization thing.

It shouldn't have been taboo in the first place.
Most of the sh*t we worry about in society is just silly when you really think about it.

I think it was normal, but not broadcasted. I think it's still inappropriate discussion for children and the impressionable.

I like being entertained by strippers, but as an adult I feel differently than how I felt even a year ago about the profession. I'd b upset if my daughter were a stripper so I'm not that damn de-sensitized. I don't like all the songs or stripper worship, I think it's played out. I still think strippers fill a void in society that will always b there, but I don't think it should b an option for women. It should b treated as a last resort. That lifestyle is often over glamorized by people who have never done it, and people who don't want to talk about how it really is.

I hate the desensitization. We are raising the most uncouth, dimwitted, filter-less generation. How exciting. There was a time when women could keep their clothes on and still be heard but nah. We said f.uck that in 2013.
