How long has it been?

I had to lift my hair in order for the color to take.

Then I got bored and dyed it back to black, all that work for nothing.

I've henna'd 4 or 5 times over the past year. I guess the last time was a couple months ago.

Did you have to use bleach or did you get by lifting with just developer?

nvm I misunderstood. I did dye it over later and the color took well.

What is your starting color and what henna are you using? You may not have to use a developer to lift it, using some hibiscus and a high content henna would do that especially since you've been doing henna a while.

This was after a fresh henna a few months ago. It only looks this red in lots of light.
