the marley twists have been okay. i haven't done anything more than moisturize them and wear them in a bun. So, after 2 wks, these things are coming out. I've been itchin' to wear my hair out because i swear everytime i put a protective style in, I see the best "out" styles. But alas, for the sake of ultimate retention, I'll resist LOL  I'm going to wash and deep condition this weekend and if I have time I will re-install marley twists, but smaller this time, so they don't look so worn out so quickly. hopefully i'll be able to keep them twice as long.

Ive been wearing my hair like this (no extensions) all month so far. But my bun is soooo much smaller. I would love to have a bun like the one you have, but with all my own hair. *sigh* I will get there eventually.

IN OTHER NEWS:
I've kept up with 2-3 scalp massages a week.
I plan on washing today and doing a protein/cholesterol treatment. My hair is overly soft so my twists haven't been lasting very long. The roots get so fuzzy forcing me to re-twist almost weekly. Im thinking about doing flat twists for my style this week...but God knows my mind always changes, so we shall see.

The semester is kicking my butt already. It took me all week to fully install my straight crochet braids. I'm relieved I can say that I like them. I'll come back with a picture.

This was my first length check since Aug 2012. Back then I was BSL now I can claim MBL. I had very few splits and I trimmed those off. I'll prob wear my hear out for the next few days and then reinstall my Upart next weekend.

hi, ladies!  we went away for the long w/e so i was not by a comp!  my hair is still in mini twists.  i'm rocking a low bun right now.  on my skin care journey front, i've also given up make up for a bit and decided to only wear gloss.  does anyone else do that?  i used to wear mascara and blush before...no foundation, etc., but i think that i am going to go with gloss only.  tried it this weekend and it seriously saved sooo much time and felt really natural.  i would like to keep it as natural (and beautiful) as possible.  :-)

@nay, nice, beautiful hair!

@savanna, beautiful bun!  those twists look dope.

@littlebaby, your minibraids look great!  and i love that they only took under 3 hours.  you have to let me know how they compare to minitwists.

@assiyra, wow, that is some very beautiful hair!  congrats on your growth too! :-)
