sorry for the lack of updates. school is back in session so, work has consumed me. my hair has pretty much looked like this for the past two weeks: the marley twists have been okay. i haven't done anything more than moisturize them and wear them in a bun. So, after 2 wks, these things are coming out. I've been itchin' to wear my hair out because i swear everytime i put a protective style in, I see the best "out" styles. But alas, for the sake of ultimate retention, I'll resist I'm going to wash and deep condition this weekend and if I have time I will re-install marley twists, but smaller this time, so they don't look so worn out so quickly. hopefully i'll be able to keep them twice as long.

For some reason I stopped getting notifications for this thread and subsequently forgot to post.
I've been exceedingly lazy with my hair--nothing out of the ordinary, unfortunately--but thankfully I've been keeping it moisturized (especially since I started using AOHSR as a leave-in) and tucked away in either cornrows or what I suppose are mini-buns (i.e. folded-under ponytails at each quadrant of my head).
I'm still getting SSKs and splits at my temples and nape since they're a bit too short to keep stretched. I think the best and most versatile option at this point is box braids or Senegalese twists--once they're installed. It's just such a daunting task with hair as dense as mine. *sigh*
Planning to rock a faux bun next week, bite the bullet, and braid/twist next weekend. Y'all hold me to it, lol.

Cornrows getting loose, fuzzy looking like I got a twa. Can't wait to take out cornrows wash, and do a thorough deep treatment and trim my ends.

I've been quite lazy with my regimen the past week but I have a very good reason! I woke up with an allergic full body rash last Sunday and after I went to the doctor on Wednesday when it got worse, I was put on a bland diet of basically porridge, potatoes and soft fruits with only antihistamine and hypoallergenic soap externally. It was hard taking my larger HSN vitamins and drinking lots of water because my mouth and throat hurt inside but I started taking them again yesterday since it's mostly cleared up. Also, so far I'm seeing good growth with my sulfur mixture! I'm gonna keep using it and hopefully I'll have at least 4 inches of growth by the 6 month mark! I'm still debating on whether I should order some biotin. The rash made my face look terrible and I'm worried about what I'll look like with cystic acne!
