@ Heavy, thats funny because I was thinking about adding the banana too! lol, I just didn't have any ripe banana at home and the closest store banana wasn't ripe at all. Tell me how it goes.

If I have gotten anything wrong, please just let me know.  

Remember that we need your starting info and pic (the pic is really so that you can gauge the difference in your hair at the end of the challenge) before Jan. 1.  The info is so that we can get to know you (your hair) better, and so that you can put on paper your reggie, likes, dislikes, etc. that can be tweaked throughout the challenge, as needed.

I just steamed with my homemade dc (banana, avocado, olive oil, honey)...after a good bent clay wash.  life is good! :-)

The Challenge officially begins in less than 3 days, ladies!!! :-D

Welp...definitely failed my plans today...did nothing to my hair lol

Gonna spritz, tie it down, and see how my plans go tomorrow

I'm glad your hair liked the dc.
Yep,I will just use the older one when I flat-ironed. Thanks ;)

My hair is in a wet bun, after I co-washed with molasses and honey. I forgot to get the avocados and mayo from the store. So I will try to do it Wed.

Tomorrow will make a week of em and they're already fuzzing and frizzing, but that's partly because when I keep in styles like this, I mist it with water/leave in mix, and oil and massage the scalp on a nightly basis. I blew my hair out and did a braid out that I'm wearing to church today. Gonna get my hair flat ironed to start off the new year and this challenge. Have a wonderful day ladies!

@heavy thank you Smile and the company is SUPER, as in this month, new. i think it was just late/early and i wasn't thinking clearly lol. i'll fall back until i can get some more info out of the company and can do research on alternatives

hair update: ive worn my flat ironed hair down or in a ponytail for work for the past couple of days. i'll be bunning until this upcoming weekend. then i'll do a wash and install my 1st set of marley twists.

I'm still in my yarn braids. I'm itching to take them out because I don't really like how they turned out. I was being lazy during the installation *shrugs* I think I'm going to take these out through the course of this week starting in the middle so I can bun them until they're all the way out. I'll twist, moisturize, and seal each section of hair as I take them out.

After that's done, I'll take the twist out on the 9th or 10th of January and rock a bun for that weekend and probably that whole week of school. (We start on the 14th of jan). Ill steam+dc but I'm trying to get into the habit of washing no more than twice a month.
Around or before the 20th I'll get a professional trim (all my self trims are fails) and go into synthetic box braids because my hair will have a week or two week break but I'll be bunning during that break from braids.
