I've had my braids in for almost three weeks. I've washed them once. I have been massaging coconut oil into my scalp and an olive oil/sunflower mix. My scalp is doing pretty darn great.

CURRENTLY INSTALLING A SEW IN WEAVE, WILL KEEP SCALP MOISTURIZED TWICE A DAY AND CO-WASH EVERY OTHER WEEK. (DEPENDING ON HOW OILY & DIRTY MY SCALP FEELS)

After my last wash, blowout and flat iron I trimmed my ends. I cut about 2 inches, I'm disappointed b/c my ends still look nasty. I am planning on flat.ironing once more and clip more of my ends. I will post pictures soon.

Finally took out my braids and finger combed and washed/conditioned my hair. I rubbed coconut oil in my scalp and hair. Coconut oil has been like the bomb diggity for my scalp and hair these days...I need this to keep up the good work. My hair is in about 10 twists, stretched around my head and bobby pinned. I plan to take them down and put it back into singles tomorrow when it should be dry.

My hair is back in singles and it totally looks like I'm rocking singles. My other areas are catching up to the back so it looks a lot better down. I'm going to look for some hair jewelry to use on the ends, like how people with dreads do...we'll see.

I think I have the same problem....what do you think is the cause of that?

In my case I haven't been trimming on schedule like I'm supposed to. I also use permanent color on my hair and I noticed that the section on my hair that I color is noticeably drier than the non dyed section. I also have not been doing real deep treatments like I use to with a quality protein conditioner. I moved, and I was so busy I really didn't have time to care for my hair the way I like to. Now that a new year is approaching I will be tight with my regimen; more weekly protein treatments under the hair dryer, moisturizing as needed but paying attention to my ends.

Massaged my hair with coconut oil last night and some olive/sesame oil. I am now able to go weeks without washing my hair. The coconut oil is helping with my eczema:)
