Beautiful hair Chery!!! 
So wash day is complete. I think I've found a new love in aloe vera juice BUT I bought a flavored aloe vera juice. It's Fruit of the Earth's Wild Berry Aloe Vera juice and it smells delicious (especially in my hair  ). I didn't really think much of it, but so far I've used it with my dc treatment (I sprayed it in to wet my hair then applied my dc and let it sit overnight) and I've also used it while moisturizing (aloe vera juice, garnier leave in, oil) and so far my hair feels GREAT!!! It feels super luxurious like I can't even describe how GOOD it feels! So, maybe sugar has some benefits for the hair.
As of right now, Nelly is chillin in 8 twists underneath my satin bonnet just airdrying. Don't know what I'm gonna do. I said yarn braids, but I just don't feel like doing that right now. I got the yarn sitting next to me lookin so lonely.
Oh, and I think I'm gonna stary "trying" to finger detangle exclusively. Today, I tried doing it exclusively but broke down and ran my shower comb through one section of my hair after washing but I only finger detangled the other 3. So while moisturizing, I noticed in the section that was combed that it had more itty bitty breakage pieces as opposed to the sections that were finger detangled, they had nothing. I only pulled out long shedded strands and it wasn't even alot of them.
Tho I am not partial to finger detangling (HATE wet strands on my hands) I'm willing to adjust if that means retaining more length and thickness. So I'll try it for the next few weeks or so, we'll see.

I co-washed my braids last night and oiled my scalp and hair with olive oil mixed with sweet almond oil. I'll post pics next rebraid in two weeks

hi, ladies. happy sunday! i went swimming yesterday, washed with my homemade shampoo, cowashed withshescentit dc to remove the rest of the chlorine, and after rinsing, added some more shescentit dc and left it in my hair. my hair is feeling awesome so far. also, my hair has been in twists since jan 7 (retesting here and there)....trying to go to the end of this challenge in twists...we'll see.
@cherry, great progress!!
@mskraizy, let me know how finger detangling works for you. i have been doing it exclusively since january and it has been working well. before, i would finger detangle and then run my super wide tooth comb through it after. now i don't have to pack any extra tools when i travel or go to the gym. :-)

I washed and deep conditioned on Friday. I think after next week I will wear my own hair out. I need a break, my scalp is sore in yhe back, I have little bumps on my scalp. I think I may have cornrowed too tightly but its been a week and these bumps still hurt.
