Beautiful Textures Tangle Taming Moisturizing shampoo My hair is type 4, porous and dry. To get to the point, I am not impressed by this shampoo. It leaves my hair feel coated and not in a good way. I feel like this shampoo contributes to the build up of hair products in a much faster rate on my scalp. It is not terrible because it does help detangle your hair but at the same time it weighs down my hair a little bit. After seeing this written out, it probably doesn't make sense but I guess I can chalk it up towards my hard water. This is a 3 out of 5 stars product for me. I will struggle in trying to finish this product.

Joico K-pak reconstructor conditioner
hair type: 3c/4a
So far so good. I used it to combat breakage(have been wearing my hair straight and using a brush). It has protein in it(hydrolized keratin protein I think). I applied it in sections to my 2-strand twisted hair. Pulled the product through to the ends, finger detangled(with ease and minimum shedding) and rinsed out. Then followed up with organix coconut milk conditioner left on for 20 mins or so under a shower cap. Never had to use a comb. Once dried I flat ironed and lost only a few strands as opposed to my previous experience. Overall I liked the product, my hair feels stronger, less breakage when I do use a comb as well. Solid 3 out of 5 so far.

Beautiful textures silken shine growth oil= has actually mad my hair smooth and shiny
Beautiful textures deep condish= its ok but doesn't give enough slip
Beautiful textures shampoo= i think i've had better but it doesn't strip the hair
Beautiful textures curly pudding= its ok for soft twist outs which don't feel hard but don't expect your twistout to stay past 48 hours
Beautiful textures moisture butter= basically the same as the curly pudding but has a thicken consistency.

Currently testing: Lustasilk Curl Max (Curl Activator Moisturizer, Curl Activator lite, Curly Pudding), the rest of Beautiful Textures (except the oil and heat serum), ORS HaiRepair (conditioner, intense moisturizer cream, and anti-breakage cream), and I believe that is it.

I will update this list tonight!
Name of product: Kinky Curly Knot Today
Hair texture/type: Kinky Curly
How did you use the product: After clarifying, I applied it it to four sections of hair and detangled with my babyliss shower brush.
Overall satisfaction (scale of 1 to 5):4.9. It gets the job done as
far as detangling. It's great for that. I only used 1/4 of the bottle
for my entire head (My longest layers are past APL) and that was a bit
too much actually. My hair is soft the next day as well. My only
complaint is that if you plan on doing twistouts, you will need to add a
heavier product to twist with because KCKT + KCCC does not give enough
hold.

Name of product: Let's Jam Custard Hair texture/type: Kinky Curly How did you use the product: Over my leave-in or moisturizer to help define my wash n go Overall satisfaction (scale of 1 to 5): I rate this product a 1, if that. While it may work for some, for me it left my hair harder and dryer than I would like. I gave it three tries and even tried to add oil to my hair so it wouldn't be as harsh. Every time it left my hair hard, dry, and that didn't change until I washed it out.

Beautiful Textures Tangle Taming Leave-in Conditioner My hair: 4s, dry, porous, fine but thick I have been testing this off and on for about three months (I don't remember) and to be completely honest, this is not the best leave in conditioner I have tried. The best points about this conditioner is that it does help detangle the hair wonderfully and it smells nice. The cons are that it makes my hair feel coated after a while. Hence the need to shampoo my hair more often (from once a week to twice a week) and it doesn't play nice with other hair products not in the same line. For example, if I use EcoStyler gel, my hair will flake something awful. I would give this a 3 out of 5 stars since it is average. I will not repurchase again and I think I will save this for the harsh winters in the Midwest.

Beautiful Textures Rapid Repair Deep Conditioner My hair: 4s, dry, porous, fine but thick To get straight to the point, it's alright. It does help with detangling and helps with moisture. Not something I would repeat purchasing. 3 out of 5 stars. I will save this for winter, like the rest. Not CG approved at all. All the products in this line has some form of silicone. So it will help with the combing and detangling and maybe help define curls *shrugs*.

Beautiful Textures Moisture Butter Whipped Curl Creme My hair: 4s, dry, porous, fine but thick Honestly this didn't actually define any curls for me but it keeps my hair moist. Not as moist as another product I am using but it does a good job. Right now this product is a bit too heavy for my hair but I am saving this for the winter, where my hair is just beyond brittle and fragile. 3 out of 5 and will not repurchase.
