As I Am Naturally Leave-In Conditioner My hair type and condition - 4, porous and damaged ends (from brushing) I purchased this along with the DoubleButter Cream and honest this product was just plain useless for my needs. When I reach for a leave-in conditioner, I usually reach for the ones that has detangling properties and moisturizing properties. This product doesn't really does either that well for my hair. The reason why my review for this product isn't as colorful as my previous one is because I purchased this because I was at a loss on what to by when Sally's had this on sale where you buy two As I Am products you get one product free. Coupled with a 15% off coupon, I got the products relatively cheaper than expected. A part of me wished I had gotten the hair milk or the gel. But I would probably be disappointed in either one also. Zero stars from me.

As I Am Naturally DoubleButter Cream
My hair type: a solid 4 (all of them) and porous and damaged at the ends.
My review: Ladies I have given this product a fair chance, I really did. I used it for a month or so before coming to the conclusion that this product is some world-class bullsh!t on my hair. My expectations of this product was to provide adequate moisture for my hair that last longer than 8 hours. A muthafcking week would be absolute love but two days worth would be a'igth. But this sh*te right here *scoffs* doesn't even give me eight hours of moisture and please believe I used it in a variety of ways. I misted my hair with rosewater then apply, that sh*te didn't work. I used it after shampoo and conditioning, that didn't work either. Then I used the leave in from the same line first then layered the cream on soaking wet hair and ladies I was generous with the amount. Man I woke up the next day with a brillo pad for hair. Maybe it is because my hair has some damaged ends but this stuff right hear *pshhhh* ain't worth the 20 odd dollars. I should roll up to Sally's and demand my refund like:

I should have waited for the Beautiful Textures to hit the shelves. My only consolation is that I got a free bag when I purchase like 30 something dollars worth of As I Am Naturally from Sally's. Yeah it is a cheap bag that is worth five dollars and I am being generous here. I need to find that receipt and hopefully it is not too late to return it. Hell I would accept store credit at this point.
This mess gets no stars or love from me. Hell I am tempted to snatch all the stars bestowed on this product.
| I'm here to tell ya.....receipt or not Sally's would receive it back. Check out their website and see what their refund policy says. I know the line is new, so you haven't had it that long. I purchased three products from the Beautiful Textures ain't lying this line is the SHT , my hair loves all three. Girl don't be scarreeddd go get your damn money back, if you get your money back or in-store credit, check out the Beautiful Textures and each product is less than $7 a pop. In fact this month (march) it's on sale for $5.89. Keep us updated on your refund. Am glad I didn't buy "AS I AM", cuz if it didn't work for me Sally's would be saying "Damn, here is your money back/in-store credit". Don't play when it comes to them $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. , TRUST!!!!

Name of product: Donna Marie Miracurl Curling Gelly Hair texture/type: fine to coarse? I have no idea really. 3c/4a How did you use the product: I used it as a styler Overall satisfaction (scale of 1 to 5): 3
I was on the lookout to find a cheaper alternative to kinky curly custard. So while perusing youtube I see that the curling gelly got good reviews, so I bought it. When I first used the product I used giovanni's direct leave in on wet hair and I got poofy roots with defined ends. Needless to say, I looked a hot ass mess. I tried it again with the same leave-in on damp hair. I still got poofy roots, but less poofy then before. Then I tried it again without a leave in on almost dry hair and got good definition all around. BUT...I got flakes the next day. I'm usually heavy handed because of my hair type I like my hair to be defined. Crunchy hair doesn't bother me because I moisturize my hair anyway. Baby, my hair was flake city the next day! So I tried it again on almost dry hair and used less product. I still got flakes...
Now I'm doing the cg method and I'm using tresemme naturals condish as my leave-in and the mccg as my styler. For some reason they work well together, but no matter how little I use I still get minimal flakes with this gel. I'm going to finish the bottle, thank god I have about 1/3 left.

I saw all of these at this new BSS not too far from me & really want to try them ... especially the DC .... i might have to go pick this up soon

I just saw this line at Sally's yesterday...will get the conditioner next week to try out.

I did not like the QP range at all. It is often raved about but I found the mango butter made my hair dry and hard, I tried the moisturiser - it made my hair soft for as long as it was wet, but it dried crispy and hard. And the Soy Oil relaxer burned and broke my hair. I am now transitioning to natural after that experience.

Name of product: Alberto Balsam (aka V05) Moisture Milks - Passionfruit Smoothie and Strawberries & Cream.
Hair texture/type: 4a/b, fine and low porosity - Kinky Straight extensions.
How did you use the product: As a leave-in.
Overall satisfaction (scale of 1 to 5):

Being in the land of Oz, finding the right hair
products for my hair type has been a truly extra hard task - especially
when it comes to having a leave in moisturizer. The funny thing is that I
used to be a bit of a product snob and would turn my nose at something
that's so cheaply available thinking that there would be cheap
ingredients in this conditioner. After doing some research and seeing
the rave reviews on LHCF, I decided to give this one a try. I first
tried it as a RO condish but I found it to be still lacking since I
normally use HE HH. Sure it made my hair soft, but it just didn't have
that right feeling. I checked the ingredients again and realized that
there was no silicones. A lightbulb went off in my head right that
moment and I thought, "hey, maybe I could try this as a leave-in". Being
a mostly 4a head, my hair generally will get dry every few hrs. Anyhoo,
long story short, I poured out a few handfuls and applied it to my twa
and it made my hair feel so moisturized and soft! My hair just curled
all the way up and I could swear that some of my 4b spots turned into 4a
(seriously, I could've sworn I had zigzags on my crown and they turned
into ringlets). On top of that, the smell wasn't too bad either (though
the Strawberries & Cream scent can be overbearing to those of us
with sensitive noses). This is the first moisturizer I've had that will
get my hair to stay soft for days and I'm completely thrilled that it
doesn't cost very much, only $2.

I think the problem is that Elasta QP is not made by the same company anymore. Before Elasta QP was manufactured by the same company that created Kenra and Elucence. They sold the company several years ago to Strength of Nature, who makes African Pride and Profectiv products, along with other brands. They might have tweaked it, because I know I loved the H-Two spray but this recent production is a bit lacking.

This thread is great, I looked at all 35 pages. I'm still a newbie and will certainly take this information on my next shopping spree.

Name of product: Bobos Remi leave in conditioner Hair texture/type: Kinky/coily type 4 How did you use the product: On wigs and natural hair for detangling/rejuvenating/smell Overall satisfaction (scale of 1 to 5): 4
Right now I don't think I can give a full review I'd like to come back after I get some fake human hair to try this on. First thing I want to mention is the smell of this product. Too me, at first sniff, it smells like grapes, BUT my man said he LOVES the smell of my hair. After you spray it, it kind of has a nice cologne-y male scent like chi silk infusion. Love the smell of that Chi. It does detangle nicely, even my real hair, but it's super light, so it's not moisturizing on my real hair. Too much on my synthetic wigs does make hair greasy and limp and over shiny. I still spray it on my cornrows now just for smell and light moisture. It's too light to really moisturize but I think it will be great for human hair kinky curly weave. The ingredients aren't too bad either. Overall I would repurchase this product for smell alone and it does detangle, but as far as performance on my hair it's not anything extra special. I'll update if it does good on my weave.

Name of product: Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch leave in Hair texture type / kinky/coily (a blend of 4b and 4c, I think) How did you use this product: As a moisturizer Overall satisfaction (scale of 1 to 5): 4 1/2 I really like this. So much so that I ordered some more. My hair feels well moisturized with this and I don't need to apply every day. If I didn't give it a 5, it's because it can leave a bit of a greasy feel if you overdo it. Went on a crazed spending spree not too long ago (also bought some organic products) and out of everything I bought, this is what stands out. Their deep recovery hair mask is also very good.

I will post an updated list this weekend ladies! I know summer is coming and it's time to change up products for this warmer weather.
Name of product: Beyond the Zone Noodle Head Hair texture type: Kinky Curly
How did you use this product: On *slightly* dampened, stretched, detangled hair. I used about a tablespoon in each of the four sections of hair and then 2 strand twisted my hair. It is very heavy/moisturizing so the definition I had worked hard to get rid of came right back before I twisted. I undid them the next morning for a nice twist out.
Overall satisfaction (scale of 1 to 5):4.8 lol I really like this product but I hate that the ingredients aren't all natural. It leaves the hair feeling coated but in a nice way. I had movement and a nice fluffy twist out that was not greasy or dry feeling. Plus it has lasted 2 days. It is a winner for me.
