Blackwood Beauty Cactus Gum
3c/4a/4b hair, low porosity, medium-thick strands, high density, with bleached sections.
Originally to be applied to hair pre blowdrying, I use it as a leave-in/moisturiser and in my own leave in concoction( I swear I had the perfect mix the first time but now I can't find the right mix anymore).
Overall, I'd say 4.5 stars.

My first use with my hair in 2 week old rope twists made my hair soft but it started unravelling. Strangely the owner of the salon I bought it at experienced the same with her locs and she came to the conclusion that it is better for loose naturals, which is perfectly understandable as cactus gum(first ingredient) is a humectant of sorts, plus with only 4 or 5 ingredients and water as the 2nd ingredient, it does the trick. Anyways I didn't like it much by itself as it made my hair frizzier-on second thought that could have been due to the rains/heat combo that Jamaican summers are known for. As part of my revamping my hair regimen phase, I tried it in a leave-in made out of left over conditioners, olive oil and water... Ka-pow!! My hair was softer, more defined and especially since I used it after my baking soda treatment 3-4 weeks ago, my twists are juicier. If I could find a way to place it in my DCs without it being runny, I would have. I am strongly thinking of getting another bottle at this natural hair/natural living event coming up on the 29th.

Organics by Africa's Best olive oil smoother and polisher serum
Used to seal hair, added shine for puffs/buns/twists
Overall, 3-4 stars.

I've had a love/hate affair with polishers and serum since my relaxed hair days-too much will make my hair too oily, but the right amount works wonders. I got this in a combo package with the stimulating shampoo so I said why not try it. Used to seal, it made my hair clump. I tend to be heavy handed with polishers and I didn't use a lot so for my hair to clump I was torn between smiles and frowns-smiles because my hair is finally acting right and frowns because I hardly wear it out for the past 2-3 months so I can't truly experience it fully. I don't have to apply extra for a couple of days unless necessary or going out. This isn't 5 stars as I hate how it reacted with my leave-in when twisting up Sunday night.

Sounds Good To me.....
I used these products on my wet bun since I have not had time to style my hair this weekend, butI do plan on trying them with a wash and go and braidout in the future. I washed my hair with Shea MoistureRraw Shea Butter Moiature Retention Shampoo then conditioned for a couple hours with Lustrasilkk Olive Oil Conditoner and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. After that I Added the Creme Brule all over my hair in sections making sure to get all of it. The product spread easily, was very easy to apply, and smelled delicious! I then let my hair dry a little then brushed it back the Goddess Curls gel and secured it in a bun. The Goddess gel feels like any other gel but is on the thinner side and does not have much of a scent. It was pretty easy to slick my hair back with also. After that I put my scarf on my hair for the night so it could dry completely. After I removed my scarf the next morning I was pleasantly suprised! My hair was smooth and the gel had great hold but was not hard like Eco Styler, my bun was also very moisturized from the Creme Brulee.I am excited to use these together for a wash and go and will continue to use them for my buns!

I wished we have something like this in the states.  Or in the Midwest.

Name of product: L'oreal Paris Elnett Satin hairspray - Normal Strength
Hair texture/type: Fine strands, 4a/b - human hair Kinky Straight extensions.
How did you use the product: I used it as a holding spray.
Overall satisfaction (scale of 1 to 5):
StarStarStarStar1/2

I've heard a lot of hype about this hairspray being used by celebs and professional MUAs alike. Ladies, it's believeable. This has got to be the best hairspray that I've tried in my entire life. It doesn't coat my hair, make it hard or crunchy (hate that), it doesn't dry it out and best of all - no alcohol smell. It does have a slight perfumy scent but that disappeared within minutes. I had purchased the full sized can (which is quite tall being that I normally purchase the travel sized cans of hairspray). It is an aerosol spray but it doesn't spray like the hairsprays that I've previously used. Instead it comes out in a pretty light mist which was highly surprising because I'm used to squinching my eyes closed in order to protect them from getting any of the floating particles that the more stronger sprays sometimes leave to linger in the air. I gave this spray a test drive this afternoon (during the Melbourne Cup festivities in an extremely crowded pub) after having flexirod set my hair the night before. My hair held up beautifully. It felt to light and bouncy - it even managed to let my hair keep it's flexibility as I was able to swing my bouncy barrel curls without them totally dropping or becoming a complete bird's nest in the back of my head. By the end of the races and sufficient carrying on at the bar, I managed to drag myself back home and peered into the mirror only realizing that my curls managed to drop very slightly (and by slight, I mean from shoulders to collarbone). All in all, I am absolutely thrilled with the performance of this product and I will be purchasing from this line again in the future.

Name of products: Moroccanoil Oil Treatment and Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Penetrating Oil.
Hair texture/type: Fine strands, 4a/b - human hair Kinky Straight extensions.
How did you use the product: Both are used as sealants.

Okay, so I've been on the argan oil bandwagon for about a year now. I originally purchased the Moroccanoil as a way to keep my extensions moisturized along with my original leave in conditioner (D'Lorenzo Rejuven8: The Ends - Do not recommend btw). It was love at first use - my dried up extensions became so soft and only the moroccanoil gets the credit. It was my first time using a light oil and it was fabulous. It wasn't sticky, the smell was gentle and it imediately absorbed into my parched strands. It even had the same effect on my natural hair (which had the same parched nature as my oil extensions). The only thing about it that bothered me was that I everytime I ran out of the stuff, I'd have to pay $52.00AUD (which is the equivalent to $52.00USD) to get another 100ml bottle. I mean, it's not like I was using huge amounts and it does last but $52.00..... it'll hurt anyone's purse. So one day very recently I bounced upon another brand of argan oil: the Organix brand. It was in my supermarket for $28.00 in the same 100ml size. I just could pass that up because if it worked as well as the Moroccanoil, then you know that was gonna get dropped. Now when I purchased the Organix moroccan oil, I was in my resting stage because most of the yr I usually have my hair in a PS (micros, treebraids - yeah, that stuff). The first thing I noticed was that the Organix brand of argan oil was a lot thicker than the Moroccanoil. It was different and not much of a detterent. It went on my hair and it felt nice and thick, just thick enough to maybe seal in the moisture I was trying to save. Normally, I'd use a combination of unrefined shea butter and moroccanoil to seal in my moisture but it just wasn't holding anymore for some reason. I am very pleased by my hair's reaction to it as well. It didn't absorb the Organix argan oil as quickly as it would've the moroccanoil which was a huge plus.

VS

Since I've been using both of these products, I've noticed very slight & subtle differences in how my hair feels in regards to both. For the Moroccanoil, it usually gets completely absorbed by my hair or evaporated within hours of application. It's a very, very light oil and while it does contain silicones, it's not one of those oils you'd want to use to give you extra slip while combing your hair. The Organix version however is made of sturdier stuff and is actually quite thick in comparison. This may be because in that version there is more silicone content than there is in the Moroccanoil. In the Organix oil, the argan oil is actually in 6th place in the order of ingredients where as in the Moroccanoil, argan oil is in the 3rd place. Another difference is in the smells. Both actually have quite a pleasant scent but the Organix oil tends to be a bit stronger. It's not enough for me to notice it much but to those of you that want to try this out, just be aware of that if you have a sensitive nose. As for the packaging, I much prefer the Moroccanoil bottle to the Organix packaging. The Moroccanoil bottle has a choice of using the cap that it comes covered in or a pump that's also in the box if you find using that to be better for you. The shape of the Organix products bottles look nice but the bottle itself has a wide opening that makes it just that little bit more harder to control the amount that comes out. I like to use dime sized amounts at a time because as we all know, when it comes to oils, a little goes a long way. It can be sometimes annoying when you get your dime size out and then it dribbles a little extra and the top is a little messy because the oil ran out. All in all, I love both of these products dearly and I believe both will remain as staples in my regimen (much to my horror since I was trying to eliminate the Moroccanoil in the first place).LOL

Overall satisfaction (Moroccanoil):

New Holy Grail Item
Name of product:
Stabilizer Plus (Diva by Cindy)
Hair texture/type:
Relaxed & Natural 4b
How did you use the product:
I applied to dry hair and allowed to completely air dry.
Overall satisfaction (scale of 1 to 5)
: 5!!! This is a new holy grail item for me!!!!
My hair has never been this smooth, this breakage free, this soft before EVER. Amazing results on relaxed hair. Since natural hair is so coily, these results don't transfer well to the natural hair unless I flat iron it or stretch out the hair. This product is good for any time you want a straight hair look.

http://www.divabycindy.com/store.html

That's the link! She sells a treatment product, but I don't know if it is the same as the Stabilizer Plus which was meant to be used directly after a relaxer.
