I texturised my hair in December 2015 and now that I am trying to dye my hair, it is ineffective. I have used 'Adore' Light Golden Brown ( something along those lines) hair dye and it didn't change anything and I have used Dark and Lovely hair dye with no results. I need help on this subject and Im hoping that you can do this as I am not willing to pay more money. Yes I left
it in for over the recommended time with no results and I have followed the instructions .

My hair doesn't dye either and I'm natural. I have no idea why. The only way to change the color of my hair is to bleach it first. I went to a hair stylist because I was scared to do it myself. It worked. So you may be in the same boat as me.

If your hair is dark, lighter shades most likely won't show. You'll have to prelighten, and then tint/tone.

Are you tryjng to LIFT your hair color? And do you already have old hair color on your hair? It is also important to know what level your hair is now, and what level of color/ lighting you want to achieve. Ex: if you are a dark brown(#2) and you want a dark blonde level (6) that is 4 levels of lift that will require 40%volume developer and   color in the level 6 or 7 range. Most box color only give you 20volume developer which is ok 2 level lift thats it, but you cant lift pass 2 levels with only 20vol. The volume of developer tells you how many shades of lift you can achieve from the level your hair is now. Anythjng pass 4 levels of lift will require bleach and 20volume developer.
