For arguments sake, if this did happen, there would have to be global population control considering how many people die and are born a year. Otherwise the planets resources would get wiped out at an accelerated rate.

Someone (not named Michael Bay/M.Night Shamalan) make this movie please.

LoL computers use the planet's resources? I figured they'd be stuck in a virtual world like the matrix.

something would have to power them and with that comes diminishing impact of tech advancement on greenhouse gases

these computers will also rely on the earths natural resources .. e.g that mind in the congo belt

Small minds discussed people, average minds discuss current events, big deal minds discuss ideas. And this is small talking. There are multiple universes and planets and etc. Sounds like eternity to see them all.

To see or visit them with our current technology is unlikely. Although NASA IS currently studying the possibilities of "warp drive" engines, to perfect them would take decades. And even if we do, I'm sure they look just as humanoid as we do and have probably been HERE many times and seen us WAY BEFORE we see them...

*still remembers the "Phoenix Lights" of '97*

Ghost in the Shell? Geek I did read on some science site years ago. Scientists who wrote an article after doing some research had a line graph about humans evolving. And at that time, humans would rarely exists.
Don't know the science names, but long story short hybrid.
Human/alien( most likely)
Human/AI(robots, etc)
Human/animal(hell noDead)
Human/unknown creatures

Sounds interesting, but no thanks. I'd want to remain human as long as I can.LOL Mm reminds me of a dream I had where I was only the human left or something. And everyone around we were being taking to some clinic(most were tricked) and were now robotish. And they were coming for me and force me to get this "surgery". Dreams ends.

If immoratilty was possible, I'm sure it would come at a high cost. So I doubt everyone would be immortal.

I want to go beyond what is human, but I understand why you would hold on your humanity. If there is something higher I want to achieve it.

Like going to an other dimension, being zen, reaching your highest level of your mind/soul? If you want that I can directed you to an other siteLOL Where some say they're trying to be "zen".  You may actually like some of things on that site?! I am not into all of that, not going to risk it like that.
