Lately I've been using Giovanni Smooth as silk and alternating with Tea tree triple threat. I love them so far! If you live close to Marshalls or TJ Maxx, you can sometimes find the liter sizes that come with the pump for around $12!

Sulfates in shampoos tends to make naturally curly/dry hair even more drier or more fragile.   For some people, sulfates makes their scalp flake up and itch.  Also sulfates makes hair color fade a lot faster.  Personally I don't ardently avoid it because I need it to do a once in a while clarifying my hair because there are some products that contains silicones and lanolin that I am using up and shampoos that contains sulfate helps to remove them.

I would like to suggest Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter reconstructive shampoo as a alternative to sulfate free shampoo.  In addition I would suggest Elucence shampoos also.
