I heard great things about Witch Hazel and also there toner. I used Olay and thought it was good because it had Witch Hazel in it but I picked up L'oreal moisturizing toner and its really good. It doesn't dry out your face.

I like thayer's with hazel as well. It has natural grain alcohol, so it supposed to be less drying than traditional toners with alcohol.

I too recommend the Thayers witch hazel.  Another one is make your own with some green tea.  If you have acne-prone skin then dilute some apple cider vinegar and some water.

Have you tried toners made with witch hazel?  I find that a good toner, with this ingredient and the addition of an essential oil for the skin (such as rose oil), brings your PH back to balance.

Typically, toners heavy in alcohol are for oily skin.  Alcohol based products will dry your skin out.Smile
