I'm not happy. I'm STILL with Comcast.
I cancelled my
account and returned the equipment
. When I got home we were going to Best Buy to set up Directv/Att DSL. While I was gone SO decides that DSL sucks and he wants cable internet. He says he will set up a Comcast account in his name to get a cheaper package. I am against it, but I let him have that after going back and forth. Now HE would have to deal with them and not me.
Once he selected a package he told the guy over the phone that he wouldn't need a technician and he would pick up the equipment from the Service Center. He drives all the way there to be told that his service had been cancelled the same day he set it up. So he set up the account again in person. Then he gets home and I see that they gave him the OLD silver motorola box instead of the new x1 we had...they had not explained to him that you can only get x1 if a technician comes out(and he obviously didn't pay attention to the wrapped cable box they gave him bc he was upset at being in line for an hour). That's the real reason why his account was cancelled by the guy over the phone(without telling him). He had to swap out x1 for the regular self install stuff. He didn't choose a technician home setup because the soonest date would be FRIDAY.
I would have known that x1 can only be set up by a technician had he asked me, but he didn't. But the customer service agent over the phone and in person should have said that. This platform is SO OLD.
So basically he spent all afternoon on the phone being bounced around to get things sorted out.
He should've listened to me. I laughed.
