If you are pro-gay rights do you also feel obligated to be pro-transgender as well?  Is it a 2 for 1 deal?  I always wondered because I've known gays who are anti-transgender, but most straight people I know who are in support of gay rights also extend the same support to the transgender community.

I'm very confused about transgenders and lean toward believing that they have gender dysphoria.

ETA: I support both anyway, even though I don't understand TGism.

Do you feel that if you are pro-gay you also have to be pro-transgender because they go hand-in-hand?

Not really, and I attribute that to my own ignorance. I throw transgender in as gay. Even if the are in an opposite sex relationship. Its sorta how black its inclusive, but white is exclusive. Straight is exclusive to me. Once you do gay or consent to gay activities, you are forever in the gay box.

I think some gays are anti because they want to distance themselves from themselves Trans crew. To some of the population, when you say gay, they think of sex changing/cross dressing etc
