"Its eating your pain". Most people who get that big do it "protect" themselves from something. Whether it be abuse, molestation, rape, etc... I have a friend who is that big and she was raped. She choose to eat because its like a shield...the bigger she got, the less her abuser touched her, the less boys at school found her attractive. NO ONE gets that big just because they love food...it always much deeper than that. That's why when some ppl lose a lot of weight....people say they changed. They didn't change, its the person who was always there is now free to come out.

i beg to differ. If this is true then how do explain families that are large together?

I think plenty of ppl are big because they do love food. It really can be that simple.
Sure its a crutch for some, but I bet most folks are fat because of overeating is an easy thing to do.

I'm speaking of ppl who are 400lbs+...on the verge not being able to perform simple tasks by themselves.
i did watch the reality show of the family above...they annoyed the hell outta me.

My aunt is that big. She's always been that big. I love her to death, but she's lazy and loves food. She knows this and is comfortable with it. She has many health problems now in her late 30's that keep her in the hospital at least half the year. She says she's happy. She acts happy. She had a pretty good upbringing and she's happily married with 2 good kids. I mean, I'm sure some big people have underlying emotional problems that make them that big, but some don't. Some r just lazy and happy with things the way they r, and when they feel like changing, they change. That feeling only lasts for awhile though because its hard. Anyway, it's not our place to question them. They can do what they want. We can make suggestions, but ultimately who gives a damn what their motivation for being big is? If its about health, ok, but don't pretend like its about health when it's not. Your actions say why I really care, not ur words.
