For those of you who have reached Mid-back Length... how long did it take you to go from BSL to MBL?

I'm just trying to set a realistic goal for my own hair and im curious to know how long (or short) it took some of you ladies to reach that goal

thnx in advance SmileWink

I'd say about 5 months.
BSL to MBL isn't much of a gap for me it's 2.5-3inches apart.
My hair growth rate is average, sometimes a bit above average and my torso is short, if that matters lol.

i think 6 months is about right. assuming you grow at an average rate and retain every inch you grow.

Okay then, Im not doing something right Confused

I first time I straightened my hair, since going natural 3 yrs ago, was two weeks ago and it was BSL (before trimming) but I feel like it has been that length for the last 2 yrs ConfusedConfused

Maybe that's just in my head and I dont really kno b/c i hadn't straightened it before. But if I had to guess I would have said a 1 yr for BSL to reach WL

5-6 months? Shocked Ok. Thanks Ladies! Ima keep an eye out LOL

hey this isnt really an answer to your question maybe just a suggestion but i think you should take a picture everytime you do a length check because i would swear up and down it looked like my hair was staying the same length and then i recently took a picture and there was noticable growth... its like that saying a watched pot never boils.. on another note some people have longer backs then others.. i think my back is alittle longer then most peoples because im a little taller then some so it kind of depends on where your bra strap lands on your back.. and some times your strap can end up being high or lower... wierd but true...

Oops fixed.

Thnx Jazzy for the advice!

Too bad I didn't take a picture of my hair before the the stylist trimmed it (I believe he cut off 1 inch, maybe more) But it definitely stops where the back part of my bra begins so at least I  know from here on whether or not it truly is growing. Good advice Jazzy!
