Yes, i said french braids. Before you stone me i thought I'd post this here since the braids section gets no action and technically it's still extensions so anyway...

I want to give my hair a break in between weaves so I was thinking of this protective style with extensions. Nit the bun style but the french braid pigtails that are long in the back so i can have the option of bunning. I think it's so cute but my hair is 100% natural 4c. Do u think it would hold up for a week or 2 without looking crazy? I mean I guess I could just blow out my hair & hot comb the edges old school style; it takes heat really well... Here are a few pics of what I'm thinking of.

& I can't braid to save my life (besides plaits) so I plan on having someone do it for me

You could use Marley hair, so when your real hair gets a little frizzy, it isn't as noticeable. I wear my natural hair, without extensions, im french braids all the time. I usually have to rebraid after 3 days, but my hair isn't very long.

Yeah, I actually have french braids in now (Lord willingly I get my sew-in on the 1st!!), similar to the 2nd pic...Carmen Diaz - idk her name, chic with the blond hair.

I would recommend Marley hair as well so that it looks natural, but 2 weeks will DEFINITELY be pushing it.  To get the most out of the style just make sure you tie it down with a scarf at night - not a bonnet- so that your hair will lay flat

Ok cool. A week is all I need. Just another time to make a upart. Did u just braid it natural or did u use any heat to make it sleeker?

I braided it natural, and tie it down well, since I don't really like heat on my hair.  So it's really up to you.
