I put my hair in rollers a while ago, and went under a hooded drier. The result was amazing, and the curls were silky and bouncy! Buuuut, how can you keep this style for a week, like some people say? This style only lasts me a day. I don't know what to do to it, when I go to bed. Please help!

I usually cover my head with a satin bonnet while I sleep to keep the curls from being destroyed while I sleep.Smile

Hey girl,

First, are you a wild sleeper? I keep my hairstyles for 1-2 weeks (depending on the style) because I sleep on my stomach. I am not a wild sleeper, therefore I don't mess up the back. Plus I don't put a cap or anything on it at nite, so it doesn't get flat. When I get ready to wash my face, I put a cap on in the morning. It gets a little flat, but because I haven't had it on that long, I can just pick my curls out and go. Hope this helps!

Yes, either re-roll your hair at nite, or do pincurls, which I do.Pincurls are much better to sleep in than rollers tho. I have pics of my hair pincurled in my fotki. You can check it out for a visual. HTH

I bend over and pile all of my hair on the top of my head and then tie a very large scarf or bonnet over my head. ((I know it sounds funny)) LOL.

I make sure that I tie it up so that my hair stays on the top of my head all night.

It lasts a week that way.

Hi all I don't mean to hi-jack the thread but I have a question pretaining to this.  I've fell in love with twist-outs but by the end of the day my hair is dry.  I can twist every other day and still have the style but it's dry.  For those of you who don't re-do your hair at night. How do you keep it moisturized without messing up the style?

I am struggling with this too.  but i usually try to use strong hold stuff when I am setting the hair....like lottabody or else some sort of gel while rollersetting so that the curls will hold for a week.  I also try to use smaller rollers and use more rollers on my head.

At night, I cover with a bonnet and sleep on my side (that's my natural sleeping position).

I hadn't really thought about that as I just started this new routine of mine.  It looks and feels okay thus far....maybe not as moisturized as it could be but that's probably due to the fact that i've been using protein treats.
