Castor oil thickens the hair. I use the Jamaican Black Castor oil which
can be purchased in a small number of bss or ordered online. You can
also purchase glycerin, coconut oil, or carrot oil (generally mixed
with other oils...just make sure they don't have petroleum in them) in
the regular drugstores or bss. I add the castor oil and the glycerin to
my deep conditioner and also mix then together with the carrot oil to
make an oil mix that I use on my ends when i wrap them or put them in a
bun to keep them moisturized.

Where can I purchase Jamaican Black Castor Oil? I've Yahood and Googled with no results. Sam's website is not working properly and the other two either website is down also or there's no way to order.

Do you live near any Caribbean or Jamaican grocery stores?
I just tried this link to Sam's and it worked.
The telephone number for Sam's Caribbean marketplace is
(516) 858-0054. You could call them and find out if they have a distributor in your local area.

For me regular castor oil works just as well and also vitamin e oil is great for thickening too, imho(in my humble opinion).
