Does anyone know of any hair recipes that includes Coconut Cream?
I bought some from the grocery store today and I'm very excited to use it (it smells WONDERFUL) but I haven't had any luck finding any hair recipes that include it....
Any help would be appreciated!

1 c. coconut cream(or eyeball it)
2-3 tbs, olive oil
a few drops of rosemary oil
mix and apply to hair in sections. cover with plastic cap and sit under dryer for 30 min to and hour. or cover and leave on for 2-3 hrs. without heat.
coconut cream is great for DCing

your welcome
also there is the coconut lime natural hair relaxer.
I don't know the exact measurements but if you look on youtube they have a couple of tutorials. its not permanent but loosens your curl pattern and moisturizes your hair.

I actually found mine at Kroger (grocery store). It was in the aisle with the coconut milk and the island-y foods.

What is the texture of the coconut cream? Is it light like whipped cream or heavier like mayo?

Ok so I made an avocado DC with my coconut cream and.... never again lol it left little white specks of coconut throughout my hair!!!!! I rinsed it like five times and I STILL didn't get them all out of the back! At least I tried, but it was an utter disaster!

Ok i went to Whole Foods today but I couldn`t find any coconut cream. However I found a coconut butter by Artisana. The jar said it has coconut flesh, not just oil. So I got it but it seems to be just like reg. coconut oil to me. Has anyone tired this brand, and is butter the same as cream? Because I even asked the lady that worked in that department but she said the don`t carry a coconut cream. ???

^^^I don't know that they are the same thing. On mine, the only ingredient is listed as Coconut Cream... what are the ingredients on what you purchased?

hmm....thats odd. i got mine in the food department next to the coconut milk. i think it was near the Thai foods.
cocnut butter is not the same as coconut cream and coconut cream is not coconut oil. coconut cream is all the inside of the coconut(minus the oil) blended into creamy goodness lol.

i bought some creamed coconut which is the cheap equivalent to coconut creame concentrate.it comes in a square box and is hard as a brick.ive seen many diffrent brands and they all come in a box. its only 99 cents for a box(6oz). the only ingredient was desicated cocnut flesh. i mixed with with a small cup of plain lowfat yougurt.
i wanted to try that cocnut creme relaxer, but didn't have the coconut oil. i used the mix any way. i microwaved the brick of creamed coconut until it was soft. i didnt microwave it all the way because my bro was getting too into my buisness(if he new i was preparing something for my hair in the microwave he would flip...he has issues lol)because of thick cotage cheesy texture i didnt know that there were flecks of cocnut in the mix.(when fully microwaved it becomes smoother because coconut oil will start to melt.) i also drained the liquid that came with the yougurt but next time i will mix it in because the resulting mix was VERY thick.
i applied put on a cap and left it. when i washed it out i had so much flecks of cocnut in my hair and it took a while to get it all out. next time i will fully melt the creamed coconut and strain it or use a cheese cloth to get out the cocnut flakes before putting it in my hair.
the end result was very strong healthy feeling hair. i loved the way my hair felt. it was like an all natural protien tretment.
i havent done it again because yet because next time i want to do it on video and put it on youtube.

coconut cream, VCO, and plain yogurt is supposed to serve well as a "natural relaxer..." It supposedly loosens curls and makes them easier to manage.
