Hey Y'all.  I got my new unit yesterday and I washed it but now the curls are just loose waves. What gives? Can I re-perm it without damaging the unit.  It is Indian hair.Confused

were you sure to sit it on the floor and gather the hair around in a bunch and let it air dry...per Sexi's instructions?

that happened to me with a deep wave unit I had. I have never re-permed a unit but I'm sure you will get some BHM sista advice later in the morning.

yes that happened to me also.
I tried to scrunching it.
I put activator( jheri curl juice.) that helped a little
then I placed it in a conditioning bag.
THEN:
I wanted it straight, blew it dry w attachment.
sprayed conditoning lotion here come the curls.  not as tight but they came back after that.

they r there!! dont give up yet!!

Plunk/plop it. The curls will come back like "pow!".

I can't post links but ypou can find plunking and plopping info in the weaves section and youtube.

That happened to me as well.  I think the problem is after perming you are not supposed to wash hair for a few days it's likely that your unit was just completed when it shipped to you.  Also when you get ready to plunk or plop Dollar Tree has a towel hair cap just for plunking/plopping.  I could never get my towel to stay on my head w/o sliding off but since I got the cap....perfection!!!!
