Topic: Chinese Virgin unit applied (PICS).... HOWEVER!! Posted: 23 Oct 2009 at 4:48pm |
Thank you Ladi, I have always been a curl girl. I LOVE LOVE LOVE curly hair and I wanted to start wearing str8 hair agin. I have my phases where I go back and forth. Curly hair just works for me as does this chinese virgin hair which I am now so in love with, despite my hair horror stories. I bought fray block and I applied it to the edges of my lace, altho I see and feel a difference I feel like the lace is badly worn. I feel like Im too heavy handed with the thing and I feel like the lace is bubbling up and not laying down as it should. *sighing* First times a charm I guess

I love that app too Ashley but that was my app before my hair horror story last night. I took the unit off and reapplied it and it looks nothing like that picture. The lace in my opinion looks awful and I guess this is what I get for messing with these chinese vendors. How is the lace so worn after 1 application? There shouldnt be any fraying and this is where my complaining comes in. This thing is brand new. What else can I do to make the lace look better besides the fray block? I feel like when I apply it this time around that the lace kind of bubbles up and isnt laying flat. What is it that Im doing wrong?

Thanks Bety , ( by the way, I love bettyboop, I have a tat of her on my stomach) Ok back to the thread. I have been wearing these wigs for about 2 yrs now. When is it gonna get better? I keep telling myself that Im gonna give up because I get so frustrated at the time but I dont like to be defeated, and by a damn wig nonetheless. Its hair on a lace base for petes sake!! why does it have such a strong hold on me? I know I have bad addictions but this is by far the worst. It takes up my time, my space and my lifee!

And this is my point.. I have been wearing these things long enough so why am I still having these friggin issues? I know we all have our good and bad days but I seem to be having more bad days than good with this. Can you move into my house and be my lace wig applier?
BUUUTTTT if you still wanna throw it in the river let me know I'll be there to catch it because that unit is HAWT
Lol I think I want to hold on to this baby. Everytime I look into the grids of her lace I fall for her. She touches me in ways noone ever could, and this is just a little snippet of my love affair with hair.
You look gorgeous ... hang in there |

Thank you babe, unfortunately the curly units are regular synthetic wigs. For a while now I have been meaning to send the vendors a pic of that wig so that they could imitate the curls on a lace front wig. I love curly hair, its so much more fun.

Thanks Ms Sonny. Yiweidu is a chinese vendor. I have bough 3 units from him so far, but as I have mentioned before, I love the hair, Im just not too crazy about the lace. It frays rather quickly. With the newest one I bought ( in my pic) I wore it just once and the frays appeared. The lace is supposed to be french lace but I am not so sure now

Thank you not a problem. The vendor is actually compiled with a bunch of other vendors both american and chinese in the newbie thread. That is how I found out about him

It looks great..dotn give up on the Chinese vendor..espeically since your AV probably gets the hair from an CV anyway..hey just my opinion but I know youer in the US and you might want to order from within your country. I haven ever ordred from an AV though.. Did you cut the hair youself or is it natual layers.. I want mine to look flowy like that..it always looks so flat!

did you cut the lace with regular scissors or pinking shears midback?
cutting with the shears should help stop or cut down tremendously on the frays.

What do pinking shears look like? I have a lot of fraying on my units too. Can someone post a pic?
