    Posted: 26 Sep 2009 at 10:30pm

I have NEVER worn a flat boot besides Timbs because i have long feet.  I wear a 9.5, but I buy anything with more than 4 inches in a 10 for more room.  I recently ordered two pair of OTK flat boots, but I feel a little self conscious about wearing them.

Long Footed Ladies... tell me what's up. Never wear flat boots if your feet are more than a size 7 or what?  Am I about to be a fashion faux pas??

Who made up that rule? Confused

As long as your feet are proportionate to your height, in a well tailored boot, you're going to be fine.  To the naked eye, a size 8 or 9 is not all that different from a size 7.  Each size goes up an additional 1/3 of an inch.  So if you're wearing a size 10 boot, it's only going to be 1 full inch longer than a size 7 and perhaps half an inch wider (for the average foot).  From talking distance, it's not going to be something that draws anybody's attention.  The only one who's going to know your exact size is you.

huh? I wear a size 11 and my shoes always look great.. whether they be flats or heels. To be honest with you if you buy good quality shoes you really cant see a huge difference in the larger shoes. I notice a difference when I see cheap shoes tho.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! I agree sister! I wear a 10/11 and I agree. To the OP honey wear them boots! Gurl you better DO YOU! The are fierce and I would kill to have your shoe size! If I was about 5'10 and up a size 10/11 would fit better than my 5'7" frame but oh well! People don't notice as much as you would think. I have people giving me 8 1/2's and 9's thinking I'm that small but oh well. Wish my feet were two sizes smaller but as long as they make the shoes cute in my size I will rock her DOWN!

I  dont have big feet but I understand what the OP is saying. IMO, some shoes do look awkward in larger sizes. But I tink if the shoe is constructed well, with material of adequate quality, you should be fine. Also, I think it's on a shoe by shoe basis. I wouldnt rule out a single style.

anywhere? i've never had a problem finding shoes especially with the internet. basically, once i know my size in a brand, i will look for it online if they don't have it in the store.

i wear a 9.5-10.5
