Maybe we dont show our length because of shrinkage? I keep thinking my hair looks the same length.

or how long their twist/braid reaches

That's how i did it. I have 2 old comparison pics, one is with a picked out afro and the other is the length of my braidouts.

lol i do the same thing. i stretched my hair for the first time since i've been natural with rods a few days ago and was delighted! one, i didn't even know i had enough hair to do rods with  (these are medium-large sized). i've been geeked all week though.  oh and tell me why my dumb friend tried to tell me if i stretch my hair too much (i redo rods like every 2-3 days) that it won't revert. she goes "yea girl, it's gonna stay straight if you keep doing that."  last time i checked a relaxer and heat damage were the only things that made my hair permanently straight.

I didn't really use any protective styles within the two months. I did wear a half-wig for about a week or so. No growth aids, just daily co-washing.
