One way to get the flattest braid is to sew overhand instead of underhand...

ok i tried this method today and it came out okay...it might be because i didnt do the "rounding" at the horse shoe. the person likes it but im going to try something else tomarrow.

for my sister she wants bangs, so i was going to leave edges out all around, the first 2 front rows are going to be horizontal (for bangs) then from right to center left to center until i get to the ears (maybe a little lower) then instead of braiding vertically i will continue going horizontally go the ends, making one wide s type braid (i may change to one braid per line when i do it)

i think thatll work out a little better, plus its kind of annoying sewing it in with the gaps....

Hey, I'm  Shonda.Dee's braider and here are 2 different braid patterns I use when I do braid ups for weaves. The foundation is most important in achieving a good weave.

Hello Braid,

I like those patterns but how do you get to your scalp to wash with those patterns? They are very neat and close together...Very nice perfect foundation especially for a net weave..

I'm sure the braids loosen up after a week and you can get to the scalp.

I wish I could braid my own hair like this.  But since I can't, I'm going to get a closure for my full weave with no hair left out.

no u dont use this pattern for a net weave. a net is used when there are areas where u cant sew, big spaces in the braids, and some people dont secure the brauds good enough so if it started to unravel then its protected under the net

but all of my braid patterns require u NOT to use a net for u can sew anywhere.

plus i hate net weaves personally because its harder to get to your scalp

yes as your hair grow the braids losen up

me personally i will never wear a weave past 3 mos.

i've been wearing weaves 3 yrs now and it TREMENDOUSLY  grew my hair. when i started. i have enclosed a picture of my natural hair which was taken last yr and i have only been wearing a weave for 2 yrs...my hair naturally grows fast but with no eat on my hair it was amazing

No i dont take hair pills.

here's my weave regimen. i wear my weaves 2-3 mos but never past the 3rd month. i wear full head weaves with no hair left out. when i wash my hair with a weave i sit under a hooded dryer to make sure my scalp gets completely dry. if u do not completely dry your scalp your weave will start  to have a mildew smell so please completely dry your scalp. i naturally have very thick hair so it takes 60-75 minutes to get my scalp dry.

another thing my stylist uses ONLY nylon thread. cotton thread swells when wet and leaves a mildew smell.

so when i take my weave out i get my ends trim which is a MUST and i do a DEEP CONDITIONING TREATMENT to keep my natural hair healthy. i usually only let my hair breathe for like 3-4 days and then back into a weave. i dont experience breakage because i trim those split ends and keep my hair conditioned.

when i first started wearing weaves i was coming out of a short hairstyle. u know that in between style. my back didnt even touch my neck and look after 2 yrs my hair is past my shoulders. I LOVE WEAVES FOR GROWING MY HAIR BACK!!!!!!!!!

NOW CHECK THE PIC

my technique of getting my braids small and close together is to part very thin when braiding around in a circular formation. i also braid with a lil bit of AFRELLE fiber synthetic hair to secure the braid.

I do not use KANEKALON...NO NO NO

AFRELLE IS SOFTER AND BETTER FOR BRAIDING

THE BRAND I USE IS RASTAFRI

SORRY LADIES U CAN ONLY GET IN LOS ANGELES

BraidQueen ... Can you use human hair for reinforcing the braids? My hair is thin and fine and needs hair added to the braid. Why do you advise against Kanekalon?
