I learned today that I cannot use it on my hair as a leave in. I dc'd and put some on my hair and my hair was hard...even though i moisturized. ...So I had to wash again with a moisturizing con and now my hair feels good again.

I always follow it up with Nexxus Humectress or Aussie Moist so it doesn't get crunchy.

Hey, I plan on getting kinky twist(twist dreads) and using MT. My question is do you think I should use it as a leave in instead of washing it out every day because I plan on leaving my twist in for about 2 or 3 months.

Hey ladies,

I've been using MT since Oct 24th, but when I started I had a bad haircut with scraggly ends still in the front.

Sooo I had to get another trim to even things out a bit.  The front is much better now but my hair is generally shorter than when I started mega tek on Oct 24th.

Check out my before and after (new starting point):

I'm not happy about the set back but I'm happy about my new healthier ends.

Thanks for the support Creole :)

How do you use your MT?  Your hair looks so healthy in your avi.  What's your regi?

^^^ My hair was pretty damaged from 6 months of Neglect. In July I cut off about 2.5 inches (more in some places) of damaged, thin ends. In October I cut of a few inches of bad ends at the crown. They were just too thin and I wanted them gone. After I did this, I took the pic in my AVI. Thanks for the compliment.
I use Megatek as a protein conditioner once a week followed by a DC with Lustrasilk shea butter and Mango conditioner. I thought about using MT twice a week but I want this bottle to last at least until January. I use a little bit  in my sulfur 8 mix nightly.

I hear ya Creole. I want mine to last too....I could easily see myself going off with this product.   Just crazily slathering it all over my head LOL but I'll resist that temptation.

I want to use it as a leave-in also. I also heard you don't really need much for it to work.  I guess we'll see. I will definitely do an update in a month or so.

It's good to cut off thin ends....the hair grows in so much healthier.

^^^ You use is as a leave in just make sure your moisturize afterwards. I would not use it as a leave in more than once a week though. If you use it more than once a week and your hair gets hard, just wash and DC with a moisturizing con and you'll be fine. and yes you are right, only use a little bit--we want this bottle to last. Well here's the thing...I created a little mix....I mixed Lacio Lacio leave in which is moisturizing and a little Vatika oil and a bit of garnier leave in conditioner.  I put it on my hair and scalp yesterday.

Today my hair actually seems to be ok moisturewise....I'll continue to be on the look out for dryness...and shedding.... but so far so good.  I hope I didn't dilute too much...but only mix some of it once a week just in case I don't like it. Will keep you updated...
