Lady, that is so funny! I didn't want to deal with the stress of trying to hide a wig so I told my hubby about it upfront.
Rainy, you have such a great social life. You must be today's version of the Prov. 31 woman - doing it all!
I'm planning to go to the BSS tomorrow while my son is getting a haircut. Hopefully, I won't overspend!

Awe, Tink that's sweet. My hubby supports me alot and the kids are very independent now-days. Of course they never want anything until I'm busy. I love that verse too...one of my faves!

hey ladies i am back...for now lol. classes are starting up later this month and i have decided to move to the night shift at work (that way i can do my homework while my patients are asleep hahaha) i am prolly gonna take this weave out today, even though its only been a week. i just love touching my own hair too much :( i want to stretch, but i feel so lazy about it we shall see...
i am still on the fence about going to get some braids, i am seriously in fear of someone braiding me too tight or tearing up my ends. ALSO you know how they trim off all those stray hairs after they finish not on me!!!
LADY- that was a funny story about your so and the wig...i DEFINITELY got the side eye when i brought home my first wig but i tend to wear them in a way that isnt "crazy" looking, if that makes sense. so he's alright with it now.
EVERYONE ELSE-HELLO AND I AM READING ALL THE POSTS!

Quiet....girl we have the same stretch goals indeed. We have to help keep each other on our game....I also started making time for the elliptical. I am starting off with 30 minutes a day and then 15 mins of crunches and stretches. I need to lose 30 pounds. I am also revamping my diet.
Pretty.....We'll miss you girl, but do what you have to. We need more ladies like you preaching the word.
Alynxx....I'm not ready for oil pulling but I am glad its working out for you. Keep us updated on your progress
Leesh....I totally understand how you feel. I love the way ng feels and you can't get to it inder that sew in. Although its nice to keep, I think you should follow your instinct if you are ready to take it out. Nothing replaces the feeling of the hair growing out of your scalp...

Sorry I had to hi-jack! I wish I could do 30 minutes on the elliptical. I just added it to my workout and I can only do between 10-15 minutes! It's great because you burn a lot of calories in a short amount of time but, lawd does it take effort!

Tried it last week.... 2 minutes ! As you can see I'm in the process of building up my endurance. I started out mostly walking on the treadmill and now I do a walk/run combo. Now I'm working on the elliptical! One cardio machine at a time. I'll eventually move up to the stair climber one of these days.

LADY- have you tried walking at a moderate pace on a high incline?? its GREAT to get your heart rate up but you dont feel dead tired....it is also very toning on your lower body. i also walk backwards as well on a high incline i saw a difference after a while.
alynxx- too late lol i took that hair out...and made myself a nice ultra slick ponytail! i didnt feel bad since i did it myself and no money was lost. i certainly need to screen some braiders...i have 2 potential places to go to, but i am fearful for my edges and ends
pretty- i feel you on being busy, i predict many a days without my bhm fix once these classes start!
luvmi- i been lurking undercover too

Mrs RAines, wow.. 30 minutes!! I'm sitting here looking at my elliptical like its the enemy I need to conquer!! I'm serious. It's not like my treadmill, I'm still building a resistance too. I am actually doing 5 to 7 minutes at a time right now on the elliptical, when I get up, before shower, lunchtime, after work and as many times as I can before I go to bed. I hope to move it up to 10 minutes in a couple days.. lol.

I adjusted the machine to face the tv in my bedroom, that way, I don't have to look at a clock, I just stay on from start to finish of a tv show. My son got a basketball over the holidays and we play around together at teh courts when I take the baby out to ride his new bike. Its good exercise. Dont get me wrong either way, I wake up sooooo sore. I almost wish I had a treadmill instead but the elliptical is so much better on my knees.

It's the dunham technique with a jazz flare. It's a great work out.
