It happens..My grandma left this girl's child in the car all night. That girl has been letting her babysit since she was born.

They didn't realize the baby was missing until someone asked where is she because the mom was on the way to pick her up. They looked all over and my aunt went outside and the girl hit the window.

All that happened 20 mins before she came. They were held up at a checkpoint, so that's why they had time to find her.

Smh..that's when they realized she too old to be watching kids. I think that girl still lets my grandma watch her too.

RAHTID!!!!

meme how old was the child? What was the mom's reaction when she was told, if she was told? Does your grandma baby sit for free?

I think she was 1 or 2.

I doubt they told that girl. Yeah she gets paid and she has foster kids. Ermm

Don't understand how this happens. I am childless and watch kids sometimes. It makes me more paranoid. I am always holding hands and doing head counts.

Toddler dies after getting locked inside car

Posted: May 12, 2014 6:06 PM ESTUpdated: May 13, 2014 3:30 PM EST
By Vanzetta Evans - email
ATLANTA (CBS46) -

A 2-year-old girl has died after somehow getting locked in their mother's car in Clarkston.

Police say the mother came home to the English Oaks Apartments on Church Street with her 2-year-old twins just before 3 Monday afternoon.

The mother reportedly took one child inside to change its diaper and told her sister-in-law to watch the other play outside.

Clarkston police say for some unknown reason, the sister-in-law got distracted.

The car door had been left open and the toddler climbed in and somehow the door closed, trapping the child inside.

Police say it was an hour before anyone realized the little girl was missing. The mother and sister-in-law looked for the toddler and found the child in the car, but she was not breathing.

The mother ran to a neighbor who called 911, and someone on the scene started CPR on the child.

The toddler was taken to the hospital and later died.

On Tuesday, police said no charges would be filed in the incident. Investigators say the sister-in-law did not notice the child had climbed back into the car.

Clarkston police continue to investigate this case.

And  nobody heard the baby screaming or anything....

I would think the toddler would be talking or singing while in the car with the grandparent....

This happens all the time folks.

There are A LOT of working parents that are juggling too many things.

In this case the man was distracted by his job promotion AND he was supposed to do something (drop iff the baby) which is outside of his regular daily routine ... and he forgot.

Happens a lot so don't be so quick to judge.

Damn--I don't wanna pull a MaySay and say don't have fvcking kids.....but don't have fvcking kids.

Okay, I think everyobe is missing point here.

When you do something ALL THE TIME then you don't forget because it's routine and automatic.

So for a mother of 3 - she puts one here and one there .... but no matter what distracts her momentarily ... she KNOWS she has one more to put somewhere. :) In the back of her head .. she knows she has THREE.

However you you do something OUTSIDE of your routine - that's how these accidents happen.

There was a guy on Dr Phil that did the same thing. USUALLY he leaves for work after his wife .. but on this ONE day, he had to go to work EARLY so he said he would the child to daycare. Okay, everyone is rushed to get out of the house. He missed his exit or whatever, saw a car accident, got around that and starting thinking about the first thing he must do when he gets to the office. He gets to the office and makes a run for it - sits down and works alllll day.

It wasn't until his wife called and said the Daycare had not seen the baby that BAM .. he realized that HE HAD FORGOTTEN ALL ABOUT HIM! He was quiet and alseep in the backseat the whole drive to work!!

Of course, by the time he got to the car ... the child was dead.

So it's not that the grandpa was OLD ... ít's that he was DISTRACTED about his job promotion AND he was taking the baby to Daycare which was not part of his regular ROUTINE. Poor guy.

That's why I said - don't judge because this happens all the time - people get distracted. So the police will not charge him I'll bet.

So don't think this can never happen to YOU .. because it can.

AWAYS CHECK YOUR BACK SEAT. There should be a gimic that will not allow the driver the exit the car .. unless he turns around and looks at the back seat .. or something like that...

I would be crushed if I had left one of my nephews or nieces ... gives me the chills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
