I heard something similar to this a long time ago.

I love the way the man worded it.

Would you rather gamble living your life believing that there is no God, only for you to die and find out there is after its too late to repent and receive salvation?

Or live your life believing that there is a God, and find out that there isn't one.

Honestly I would rather live believing God exists even if in the end He doesn't.

I don't see any risks or dangers associated with believing.
I'm not about the other life.... at all.

Are you saying why would God want you to follow him out of fear?

If that's what you meant.... I'm not fearful at all. I haven't been scared into my beliefs.

Even if I found out there was no such thing as hell or heaven, I wouldn't jump ship and like I've been freed from bondage.

Well this is the crux of my issue with religion. God has so many human emotions. My thing is how many centuries and generations have passed since creation? Haven't we satisfied "HIS" need for adoration? I forgot the movie, but it reminds me of the one where all the gods were dying because humans had stopped praying and believing in them. Why does this entity NEED or WANT us to do anything? I am a parent and I don't desire my children to constantly fall at my feet thanking me for giving them life and taking care of them.
