Learn it when you are 10 from who though? Everybody didn't go to church faithfully every Sunday. I think many of y'all mistake every person who believes in God as exactly the same (i.e. growing up in the church).

People didn't GENUINELY believe this did they? Surely we were just going along for lack of anything constructive to do.

I just figured he was some snake taking folks hard earned money.

i just have no love in my heart for god/allah/buddha non of them. many times i feel like they say the most basic crap, and its like an epiphany moment for some people. (especially westerners who adopt eastern religions, but thats another thread)
i have all the makings and prudability to be a great christian though. and i think people shouldn't be thinking about making nice or recruiting others when going to church. aint nobody have time for watered down scripture.

To answer the thread, I believe in God, but I'm finding myself pulling away from the idea of organized religion. There are too many contradictions that cause me to question the need for it at all. I think people should be free to worship God in an unstructured way.

What led you to agnosticism, or if you were born following no specific religion what is the reason you never choose to?
after a while it just didnt make sense.... If you don't believe in God at all, what is the reason?
Im not sure that I dont. But organised religion makes me gag. I may not even be quite agnostic...somewhere on the fence...
Bad experience, feelings of isolation, or just plain dislike of organized religion ? seeing bad things happen to others (good people) and having negative experiences of my own

Im spiritual, a good, decent human being. And i dont quite get why thats not enough

When is a person allowed to ask questions about God, religion, non-belief without being made to feel stupid? Or should we just all self research and lean on our own understanding?
