you can get 2 tacos for 99 cents at jack in the box! word? that's the business lol.

if i were a single mother on food stamps i aint gone lie, i'd treat my kids to some fun food every now and then so the more i think about it, the less i disagree with the plan (although i know it's benefiting the big corporations and sh*t like that).

just playing devils advocate.

You can get 2 tacos for 99c. I think that's the cheapest thing on the menu...oh and over summer they have large sodas for 1$. But there is still tax on all that here. And it won't be enough to feed everyone.

You can get a 10lb bag of rice and a 10lb bag of beans for like 20$. Get you some frozen veggies (can get down to 1$/pack or even 2/$ with sales). Some apples/bananas, a big thing of quaker oatmeal, some canned tuna/mackerel, eggs, bread, potatoes, free condiment packets from the fast food place. You could even throw some cheap chicken thighs in there plus a big thing of juice (cut with water to make it last longer).

The dollars go a lot further if you purchase real food.

i agree maysay. just looked up the menu. they aint really that cheap except for the tacos but i doubt anyone is foolish enough to spend ALL their stamps at jack in the box. they might try it for every meal every day for a month and have to listen to their bellies growl then start making wiser decisions.

Yes it is.

I just found these frozen yaki soba noodles with veggies. Just put it in a bowl in the microwave for 3 minutes. I could eat those every day for breakfast.

In the deli section they have chicken enchiladas you just throw in the oven that are amazing. Oh and the korean bulgogi is good too. Plus all the big salads. Their chicken pot pie is always good.

I love costco.

ideally, a single mom on food stamps would come home from work and treat her kids to some fun fast food every saturday night after they bring home a good progress report from school. my head's in the clouds though, i know lol

It's supposed to be $5.

In my head I'm saying 5 dollars...so I end up writing 5$.

If you do join, get the Executive membership because it pays for itself with the cash back you receive. Plus the card is an amex so you can use it to pay.

But, you don't have to join. On your first visit just go to customer service and they'll give you a guest pass. Then if you see stuff you like make sure you add some costco gift certificates to your purchase. Every time you go you can use them even if you're not a member. And it's easier than trying to make sure you have enough cash or an american express card.

Or just roll with someone who already has a card. I always take people there.
