there are folks at the hospital that i work at in a small town that swear by them. Administration is pushing so hard to please the public advertising 100% innoculated employees
that they've had these little lab techs rolling "flu-shot" carts throughout the hospitals giving out the vaccinations.The flu shot is basically for 65 year olds and up who have a problem with naturally fighting off the virus. They are considered a "higher risk" for the pathology that mutates every year.
i, personally will not take them for the past reason. I had unknowingly contracted some kind of infection from a patient. The patient had a highly contagious pneumonia and no one knew about it.
Long story short, i had gotten a flu shot while my auto immune system was compromised ... landed me in the hospital for a month, and on my back for 6 more months.
The very hospital that told us that the shots were mandatory (New Jersey) - renigged on my Disability - they said: "we have no idea whether you had gotten from our hospital or at home". What's even worse? the innoculation was not the strain of virus that going around at the time
