I flat ironed my hair yesterday and got really really good results. Usually I shy away from using to much heat but this time I wanted a bone straight look so what I did 1st and formost was condition the heck out of my hair and applied a leave in and water based heat protectant.
Then I blow dryed(with comb attachment) on medium in sections (roughly 16 small sections) after blow drying it on med and the whole head was done I then sprayed it with an oil based heat protectant and turned the blower on hot and just went thru the entire head briefly to take away some of the poofiness.
Then I flat ironed/ comb chased small sections, using the comb allowed me to only have to pass the iron thru each section one time. It also got my hair super straight. After flat ironing I took a lil grapeseed oil and just ran it over the surface of my hair and on the ends.
Hopefully I can maintain this for at least another week.
