Sometimes, but not always.  My mom is religious, my father is not.  They're still married.  Dad just doesn't talk about religion at all and he didn't go to church except for my baptism.  I didn't learn he was not a Christian until just recently.  Up until then, he never protested when mom had me go to church and he never discussed religion.  I'm guessing he just left it up to me to think for myself.  I walked away from it when I was an adult.

I wouldn't have no problem with it, there is no proof of a deity creating us and there is no proof that there wasn't a deity creating life. So we have little information, so I can see why one would go to the realms of atheism cause it makes sense with the present information that we all have now.
