The prayers of the righteous availeth much!  Thank you so much for your prayers.

First of all I have seen a massage therapist and six doctors in a two-weeks span; a chiropractor, a primary medical doctor, a physician assistant in the ER, a gynecologist and two other ER physicians.  Three wanted to take my uterus, one did a digital rectal exam, another did a digital pelvic exam.  I've been massaged, x-rayed, CT scanned, ultrasound, tractioned and finally MRI'd.

Ultrasound revealed that it was in fact a fibroid (benign) but 1/3 of the size they originally thought.  MRI revealed the true problem:   a bulging disk.

They were admitting me to the hospital for hysterectomy when the last of this group of "geniuses" said, "Let's do an MRI to be sure."

That said, I'm still in a lot of pain and recovery looks iffy.  Marathon season is over the doctor told me and I'm limited at work.  But I still have all my parts and I don't have cancer!

My husband and parents and I have been on quite the roller coaster.  Thanks for the all your insight and advice.  Now to learn how to deal with and minimize this pain.  Heart

P.S.  Some of y'all got me paranoid on this genocide of the black uterus now!

Treatment is rest, pain relief and muscle relaxers.  Physical therapy.  I'm really frustrated that I can't run but it's motivation to work hard in PT.

Wonderful!  I checked in to see if there was an update from you, and I am happy that it is not cancer.   Please discuss with your Doctors alternative treatments for the bulging disc, before you decide on surgery.  I am happy of my progress, as I have five herniated discs.  Feel free to pm me, about the treatments that I have been receiving.  Hug

I don't know about your diet. But I've read of people shrinking their fibroids by going on raw food diets and drinking diluted acv. Think about trying to limit your meat intake and eat more vegetables. Stop drinking sodas if you do. Because sugar is no good for anything.
I have a book by Queen Afua called "sacred woman, a guide to healing the feminine body mind and spirit.
It talks a lot about womb health. Some parts of the book are a little bit "out there" and will make you think wtf (I gave it to my mum to read for her heavy periods and she gave it back to me within an hour, lol). But there are definitely some things you can try that are more natural to help shrink them. Fibroids grow because they are being fed in my opinion.
