The prayers of the righteous availeth much! Thank you so much for your prayers.
First of all I have seen a massage therapist and six doctors in a two-weeks span; a chiropractor, a primary medical doctor, a physician assistant in the ER, a gynecologist and two other ER physicians. Three wanted to take my uterus, one did a digital rectal exam, another did a digital pelvic exam. I've been massaged, x-rayed, CT scanned, ultrasound, tractioned and finally MRI'd.
Ultrasound revealed that it was in fact a fibroid (benign) but 1/3 of the size they originally thought. MRI revealed the true problem: a bulging disk.
They were admitting me to the hospital for hysterectomy when the last of this group of "geniuses" said, "Let's do an MRI to be sure."
That said, I'm still in a lot of pain and recovery looks iffy. Marathon season is over the doctor told me and I'm limited at work. But I still have all my parts and I don't have cancer!
My husband and parents and I have been on quite the roller coaster. Thanks for the all your insight and advice. Now to learn how to deal with and minimize this pain.
P.S. Some of y'all got me paranoid on this genocide of the black uterus now!
