She even alluded to it being something that happening in a time before : ‘Those of us who came of age at the height of feminism had very mixed views about the family, since it seemed to be defined as a heterosexual thing with a certificate, children and mum at home.’

Maybe it's just that I'm not understanding the point still. I apologize. I don't disagree that there were women who felt negatively about women who chose to stay home. I don't think that alone changed everything, and I don't think that's the point she's making. That's why I made a comment about the integrity of the article vs what she actually said. It seems like she just wants to acknowledge the family? I don't know. Again, I'm sorry. I'll just eat my pecan pie and let the grownups talk.

No I was gonna say that . I believe the article made her words to be more sensational than she intended.
I don't believe she was blatantly fingering women for the downfall of society lol
( I need to stop using " fingering " in sentences but I just can't...I just can't stop)

Indeed. I mean what didn't she blame for the breakdown of the family?

no shade to you but I hate when people do this, we are talking about females, and the feminist movement, once we solve that issue, that affects us, and our hands our clean than we can point the blame *Disclaimer* Its not just this subject that has this issue, nowadays people are quick to push blame, but not to fix Rant is complete

I don't think it's about avoiding blame, but sharing blame. I'm not even sure "blame" is the right word. Societies change and there are consequences good and bad. Everyone has to learn to adapt. I understand it being frustrating in a lot of topics, but this one..I don't really think we can look at the problem without including men in the discussion.
