loveandpeace: honey I don't think you mean any harm, but I will continue because you really seem nice.
we don't live in the world you are speaking of. If we did, India, for example would not still have a caste system of untouchables. If those people had risen up and started blowing sh1t up, it would be a very different country from what it is now. Ghandi starved but if you read the headlines you'll see, that there is still some crazy sh1t going on right now. In America, if it had been all peace and starvation You, if you live in the USA, would still be a 3rd class person, no matter what your education level is, no matter what your heart is, because you have dark skin.
What I am trying to say is anger, from god, if that is what you believe, is given to say NO! this is not right. if we just went to the back of the bus, you would have NOTHING! You sometimes have to use the indignant anger that is given to you to CHANGE things.

Maybe some of love and peace helped. But also people being hosed, dogs sicked on them ,fire bombed, churches blown up, etc, these things were met with equal aggression because sometimes the only thing some folks understand is fire with fire.
I am all for love and peace, but we cannot run from a fight because it is all some folks understand. In this case, its money, and this nurse is hitting them in the pocketbook.
You don't have to be sorry for me, because the history I lived made it possible for a lot of our people to sit up and play xbox and say I don't see a problem. I wouldn't have it different, but people need to recognize. An inch can turn into a thousand miles quick fast and in a hurry. |
I understand your feelings and thoughts on the issue and another side of me desires true freedom more than my own breath but not hurting another human being in the process. That's my truest feelings and thoughts lean on.

Well what makes anyone think there is such a thing as true freedom?
There isn't nor should there be. I can think of a bunch of things that people would like to do, and claim it is their free choice, and they can't because we have a little thing called LAWS!
You are NOT free to break the law. So no. |
Everyone should be free to do as they please as long as it doesn't hurt no one. Who was he hurting?
| The very qualified black nurses who were going to be taking care of his sick child that's who.the f*ck?

you know what, this argument is getting tired.
the only people who could possibly see no harm in these actions are the ones who have never had to struggle for equal rights.
I have a feeling that the ones who think its ok are the ones who have never lived in a time of separate but equal. I HAVE. I am 51 years old and I remember when schools were segreregrated, and when white people thought it was ok to sh1t on black people because the laws allowed it. It was NOT a good time.
You can live in a naive world only because you have not lived in the other world when there were not laws to protect you from this kind of hatred and bigotry. some of ya'll need to study up on history or better yet ask your mothers or grannys how bad it was before the law stepped in and made it possible to sue when your right to be an equal member of society was infringed upon.
If you have not lived it, and you are saying this is ok, you really need to shut up and let grown folks handle ya business, because you are doomed to ignorance. |
