For anyone on the fence about the EP Zig Zag hair, jump off and buy that hair. For my very first install I asked my stylist what hair to purchase and she said EP Zig Zag Wavy without skipping a beat. I pressed her and asked what other brands, alternatives, etc, and she did not waver. Said I could try some other brands if I wanted, but if I wanted to invest I wouldn't be disappointed. She has been wearing her EP Zigzag Wavy for 4 years!! And obviously, if she looked crazy I wouldn't have had her do my install.
A friend who referred me to this stylist gets the EP Zigzag Natural Body and loves it. I've seen someone wearing the Natural Curly and it looked extremely silky to me. Maybe each batch is different but I wouldn't recommend that one unless your hair is fine and silky in texture.
How it wore:
I used the zigzag wavy for 2 back to back installs, and colored it for the second install. For that first install that hair never shed. Not once. The only time you would get strands was when washing it, which is normal. And it was never an excessive amount. No tangling, nothing. After coloring the hair it was a bit drier and I did need to keep it more moisturized to prevent tangling, but it really wasn't a big deal.
I have since spent money on other "good quality hair", thinking surely I could find something less expensive for the same quality. Wrong.
I've bought bundles that are around $100-135/bundle, and have had to mess with it and baby it. I was out of the country for 3 months with my first zigzag wavy install, with no access to a stylist, and never had an issue.
That's my two cents. Hope it helps!
P.S. For anyone in the New York area looking for a stylist, PM me for mine's details. She is not cheap, but I learned the hard way that you get what you pay for, after trying to cheat on her with other less expensive stylists. My natural hair grew 5 inches in 6 months with her. It broke off with other stylists AND I ended up paying what I would have just paid her in the first place!
