I think they might be past this I remember her always complaining about him not getting it up in the past and him being embarrassed .
But he went to the doctor so for a while I thought things were straight , maybe the problems creeped up again.

Maybe their libido's just don't match up? He might be a once-a-monther and she's a once-a-dayer.

It's expected in our society that young men are kind of "sex crazed"...that their normal state is to be thinking about sex, having sex, or in the pursuit of sex. He may just have a low libido (or at least lower than hers) and feel embarrassed about that.
