I dont know whats going on in my area. So many fires, so many shootings. I hear it when i go to sleep then again in the morning.

My super just replaced my smoke detector to the one that talks. Its annoying but i prefer that to the alternative

hmmmmmmmm no ambulances are dispatched until there's a WORKING FIRE??   where I from, (I had to do 8 hours with the fire department to become an EMT)  the fire department is ALWAYS dispatched when a medical 911 call comes in, fire or not.  We always got there first, and stayed until the ambulance go there.   There's ALWAY one paramedic on board with the FD.............. they can start the life saving produce if need be until the ambulance gets there.

Too bad it takes a disaster like this to happen before they can change/update their protocols.

What a recipe for disaster....

No working Smoke Detectors
Children with access to lighters, obviously not properly supervised.
Lack of adequate communication between the departments involved.

Exactly how most catastrophes happen...a cascade of failures.
Twin 2 year olds exploring...
Grandma sleeping...
recent rains...
neighbors not home...
unsecured pool w/ standing water on cover...

So the title is incorrect.. it's not the firemen but the PARAMEDICS who let these children die!

Sorry I got the original article from your black world and the headline in my email was "Mother says fire Dept took to long, killing her children."

I'll change the title.
