Ok so it get's really warm where i live and i sweat. The sweating is taking it's toll on my edges and they're thinning. The rest of my hair is thick but what do I do about my edges? How can I protect them?Cry

Do you wear wigs, braids, or pull your hair back. All these things may create tension on the hair line. What seem to work for most people is Jamaican Black Castor Oil, or just plain Castor Oil. Along with gentle massages regularly.
Maybe others will chime in with some of their remedies

Also check out You Tube, see what others are doing. My suggestion is to keep it simple, and natural.

Good Luck

Are you sure it was the Megatek?  Would you recomend it?

Yes it was Megatek…

My normal regimen since Sept 2013 has been washing my hair with Blousey shampoo, conditioning with Jungle Conditioning Bar and moisturizing with R&B moisturizer all from Lush: Organic Handmade Cosmetics at Lush.com. I also sealed with my shea butter and evoo mix.

My edges became super thin about a year ago, due to constant tension from getting my hair braided at the african braiding salons. Which is why I started braiding my hair myself. my hair only fell out around the edges because they never put enough hair in the braid, even after I asked them too. I ended up with bald spots in the areas that the braids fell out.

although my regimen was doing good for my hair, It was not doing anything for my edges. I had used megatek before but I used it as a conditioner not for a specific purpose. I started applying it directly to my edges and massaging it in before i washed my hair also after as a leave in. after 30days I noticed a significant change in my edges. and because i did not do anything different other than the Megatek. I knew that was what helped.

The only Con to using Megatek is if you use too much it will give headaches. and some people had experienced hair shedding which can happen when you use protein in your hair too often... I only use a pea size on my edges. if you use it as a conditioner. I would only apply it to the scalp and mix it with your fav hair oil. I use evoo.

I hope this helped. I do recommend it.
