i like the sound of that! i hear the edge control kinda melts on people so maybe the edge control will be used to smooth, and the gel will be there to hold it..but in turn the melting of the edge control will soften the gel? ookk

that olive oil organics, edge control doesnt work at all!! its greasy and remind me of a poorer version of 'lets jam' ..I recommend AVEDA, control. its pretty pricey ($22/8oz jar) but I swear its one of god's many blessings. I have not had a perm in 4 years, Im growing it out and I have thick shanti's (thick ashanti sideburns) WITH NO EDGES.. My edges are NON-EXISTENT. ..However, I use this spray called "toppik" and IT's a MIRACLE!!.. I could spray a little on my edges and pull my hair back and up without having to gel down and swoop my sides and sit under a dryer to create the illusion of edges.

Design Essential has a good edge control product. Whenever I use either I mix a drop of africas best oil and warm it in my palms so its my edges won't look stiff.

When I was younger slicked back edges were a must and your baby hair S game (down the sides of your face), had to be tight too. My close girlfriends, all of which are natural, swear by Hicks and hate edge control. Rarely when I decide to wear my natural, I use a little ecostyle.
Now listen, Im no man, but I get uber vexed when I see women walking around with yanked edges and they still have a slicked back ponytail/style that begins in the middle of their head. Im always like "lady thats what's got your edges on the lam right now, missing role call and ish! Let dem edges rest!" Something about that always looks very heady to me.
