I did a search but couldn't find any post regarding Ecostyler custard.

I do wash and go's. I only do twist outs if I am feeling fancy.....which is practically never. So I use a lot of Ecostlyer gel. I started mixing it with conditioner and glycerin to keep it from getting the dreaded crunch. Yesterday, I discovered that other women have been mixing it with oil....and now the company that makes the gel is considering/gearing up to start a line of oils under it's brand name that can be mixed with the gel.

Anyone tried this mix? Several of the ladies who make it says it's comparable to KCCC....and much more cost effective. The most common combos I've seen are:

16oz gel + 2 tbsp olive oil + 2tbsp castor oil   OR  1/2 cup gel + 1 tbsp olive oil + 1 tbsp castor oil +
                                                                                                                         1 tbsp avocado oil

Both mixes are said to give hold to twist outs, braid outs, w'n'g's without crunch or oiliness.

I've mixed my olive oil Eco with more olive oil and some cantu leave-in (only a little though, because it makes those nasty white balls) and it felt better than the straight Eco. It's nowhere near an alternative to KCCC (for me, anyway), but that crunch wasn't as loud as it usually is! I prefer to use the mix now.

That's my post btw, I've been out of the loop for a while and had forgotten my login details!
