@kkty83, Beautiful hair! you should be at wsl in no time!

@Mrskraizy: I am the same.. lol, just doing the regular. But hey, less manipulation works! Lol, My hair breaks to easily, maybe because of the relaxers weakening it. so Low-Mani is my friend!

@Njoy
, Thanks girlie, Im trying to hang in there.. It seems like my hair retain more thickness then length.. I'm almost 5 months post-relaxer. I usually break between 3-4 months. So this is the longest I have went. Hopefully I can just do 2 touch ups a year to help with over processing.

I wonder why steamers break so easily, I was thinking about investing in one. I heard it really conditions the hair..

I think it's me.  I rough 'em up.  When I'm done using it, I don't store it away in a safe place right away. I have a spot for it in my bedroom but, it's not easily accessible.  Therefore, it's fair game for hubby to keek banging into it.  I know for sure he knocked my first one over and it didn't survive the injuries.  I think he was jealous.  Also, I tend to grab it by the hood to lift it up and over the cute (but sort of large) basket that I keep my satin scarves in.

And even tho I keep breaking them, I'm still ordering a new one.  I asked around and found a heavy duty, sturdy professional one that i'm ordering tonight.  My steamer is my best investment made for my hair.

Today, I also purchased a freestanding ionic dryer from Sally's.  I have NO idea where I'm gonna put that.  I barely have space for my steamer.  I'm thinking my hubby may have to give up his home office.  I'm not sure how I'm gonna break it to him but, hey.  It's either give up the home office for my personal salon OR buy me another house.  SmileEither way works for me.

hi, ladies. finally took down my mini twists...soooo many tangles..and i know it's because i applied a sulfate shampoo to the length of my twists.  i have been swimming so i thought i needed to use it...but anyway, i use non sulfate poos too and had to apply it to the length of my twists to get rid of the chlorine.  my take down paid the price - took me like 2 hours! argh!  anyway, they are out and i am doing a dt this w/e. can't wait.  but, first...i swim tomorrow!

@heavyrotation, spritzing with a detangler before taking down twists may help. When I wear twists, I typically have to use my mane and tail detangler.

I washed today in cornrows with Tresseme naturals and Dr. Bonner's Peppermint castle soap. Conditioned with Giovanni Deep moisture conditioner. Tonight, I'll do my LOC regime and follow up with GHE.

My scalp has been really itchy lately... do any of you know of a shampoo or conditioner I can used for an iching scalp thats all natural or doesn't have sulfates/silicones?

Hmm, Don't know any conditioner that help with the itches, maybe the other ladies can chime in..
My first reaction was head and shoulders.. but that's for dandruff... lol..LOLCry

Update: Am going  back to using Monistat. I remember getting great results last time with it.
I really don't want to straighten my hair yet, but Im going to do it for the challenge. Because I know it would be good to get an accurate starting photo.. So I will post that around Jan 1st and will straighten again in another 6 months..
