goodness. In the last video what did he use to wash her hair? Laundry detergent. I don't think I've ever seen A shampoo suds like that, the amount of sulfates puts me in a panic, and he washed it twice lol. Nonetheless, all great techniques I'm going to keep in mind. Thanks

last month i was having fun with the tension method:

this month im really enjoying the shrinkage with my twist outs

i was rushing through this Herbal Essences because i really wanted to try something else for cowashing.  well that was until i decided to use it as a spritz thanx to prettywitty77.  i mixed it with the Lusti Organics Olive Oil detangling spray and lost my ever lovin mind.  it makes the best leave in conditioner.  i put that jammy back in my closet for safe keeping and was like yeah i wont be using this as a cowash conditioner ever again.
i really like VO5 for cowashing but it doesnt really  work that well as a leave in.

its funny how so many of the products i use arent used for their intended purposes.

now i remember why im a natural product nazi. i don't know how i would pick and choose what to do buy lol. if ANY ol product could get the business, i'd be living in a box, as if im almost not already by limiting myself to all-natural lol. How do you pick? Based on reviews or what catches your eye?

this thread http://f3.blackhairmedia.com/when-was-the-last-time-you_topic218484.html helps me a lot with keeping track of what i like and didnt like.  im frugal as hell and dont like wasting products so i pretty much find some use for everything.  i also dont like expensive products and im pretty creative so i'll make it before i spend a lot of money on it.

i guess i pic products based on reviews but the item has to make sense to me.  for instance, i dont care how many reviews i see on co-washing creams buying one doesnt make sense since vo5 works fine for me for a $1.  i also dont care about sulfate free shampoos because i dilute my shampoos with aloe and oil and one bottle lasts about 2+ years.

the last time i bought something based on what caught my eye was the Lusti Detangler and that was $1 so i didnt think i could go wrong and it worked out.

i've been considering revisiting v05. i still have an unopened bottle in my cabinet somewhere from before i stopped using cones. i don't have children, barely an s/o, or quite frankly a life, so i tend not to be frugal since my hair is my hobby lol. i bought the cowashes because just rinsing with conditioner never got my hair clean enough, it kind of added a film and sort of made it grubby. i was told that was from cones which is why i stopped with them but all conditioners kind of felt that way. the As I Am cowash cleansed my scalp at the same time but left it conditioned. don't know how, which is what i guess i was looking for from my cowash though. i don't have too bad dryness problems, so maybe regular conditioners leave me too much residue to work with. I've never tried diluting my shampoo with aloe and oil, i ought to try that. Do you have to refrigerate it if u add oil, or do the preservatives in the shampoo make that unnecessary?

if im not mistaken v05 doesnt have cones.  there was a point during transitioning that my hair hated cones so i stopped co-washing with them.  now i use them during the detangling process after cowashing and in my leaving sprays and i have no problems with them but i also probably shampoo more now.

no i dont refrigerate the shampoo mix.  it never even occurred to meLOL
